Subject: busy dired-do-copy causes impartial refreshing of the window
Date: Thu, 18 Dec 2003 00:46:30 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87u13zwfx5.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
C runs the command dired-do-copy
which is an interactive compiled Lisp function in `dired-aux'.
However, try copying a 500 MB file etc. that takes a long while, then
try switching between X windows, and back again. Notice that not all
of the emacs window refreshes. E.g. the modeline is neglected, though
the dired listing does refresh.
When the copy is over, switching to the emacs window refreshes as normal.
