Subject: bug#11062: 24.0.94; manual: wrong default value of `dired-recursive-copies'
Date: Thu, 22 Mar 2012 03:53:45 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87ty1h4a86.fsf@web.de> (raw)

Hi,

also in Emacs 23, btw:

In the manual, node Dired -> Operating on Files:

`C NEW <RET>'
     [...]
The variable `dired-recursive-copies' controls whether to copy
directories recursively (like `cp -r'). The default is `nil',
which means that directories cannot be copied.

But the default value of `dired-recursive-copies' is top.

Michael.
