Subject: bug#13468: 24.2.92; Doc of `random' fails to mention string arguments
Date: Thu, 17 Jan 2013 00:40:02 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87txqgitnx.fsf@web.de> (raw)
Hi,
from the elisp manual:
-- Function: random &optional limit
[...]
If LIMIT is a string, it means to choose a new seed based on the
string's contents.
That's what it does for me, I think. However, the docstring of `random'
does not mention string values. Due to the docstring, strings would be
ignored.
Thanks,
Michael.
