I try to open a remote file (at "/home/user/a"):
" C-x C-f: /user@host#port:/home/user/a "
it returns: "Ftp Error: OPEN request failed". In my .emacs:
(setq ange-ftp-ftp-program-name "lftp"
ange-ftp-gateway-ftp-program-name "lftp"
ftp-program "lftp")
Can someone figure this out?
(emacs-version: GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i386-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit)
of 2003-11-01 on raven, modified by Debian.)

What can I say? Try regular ftp, instead of lftp. lftp is good for
interactive use, but not for being driven by Ange-FTP, I think.
