Hi, I tried it again on my home system, which has different fonts installed. case 1: size =3D 13 ASCII: Lucida Sans Typewriter [9 pix per char] CJK: =E3=81=95=E3=81=96=E3=81=AA=E3=81=BF=E6=98=8E=E6=9C=9D [12 pix per ch= ar] case 2: size =3D 11 ASCII: Lucida Sans Typewriter [7 pix per char] CJK: =E3=81=95=E3=81=96=E3=81=AA=E3=81=BF=E6=98=8E=E6=9C=9D [10 pix per ch= ar] I think in this case it will add 6 pixels to each CJK character in case 1, and 4 pixels in case 2, right? That's an increase of 50% width... ["=E3=81=95=E3=81=96=E3=81=AA=E3=81=BF=E6=98=8E=E6=9C=9D" is actually a ver= y nice and readable font even at small sizes, because it has built-in hand-tuned bitmaps ...] > Do not guess the result and just have a try :-D Fair enough... :] -miles --=20 The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources. --Albert Einstein
