Having both would be okay, although I think everyone will look for syntax-highlight. It is what the Emacs FAQ calls it for instance. http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/efaq/Turning-on-syntax-highlighting.html But any name other than font-lock which is cryptic in the extreme.
