Subject: just needed to adjust one char of the default provided
Date: 10 Jan 2003 14:37:08 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87ptr5y0h7.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
$ echo apt-preferences > /tmp/m
$ emacs /tmp/m
ESC x m a n RET
There I see
Manual entry (default apt-preferences):
ah, if I could only move over and change that - to a _
Trying ESC p ... sorry, no help there ...
Sniff, I'm only one character away from what I want, but apparently I
must type (or ESC /) the whole thing over to be able to adjust it.
Dired's "!" puts the current hint, if any, into the ESC P list. why
not man? (In the above story, we want to see the apt_preferences(5)
man page.)
