Correct me if I am wrong, but this does not sound like "default" but more like "de facto," the difference being that we are talking about separate applications that run independently of each other. I will not pretend to understand everything that is being discussed. I am interested as a blind user, dependent on w3 and or emacs-w3m. So far, I don't see how I will be able to use emacspeak to speak the contents of a conqueror buffer like I can any other emacs buffer. Am I mistaken? rdc -- Robert D. Crawford rdc1x@comcast.net
