I'm sure I've said this before, but when we last tried, Barry Warsaw
said he needed papers from a former employer, and couldn't get that, so
it wasn't worth pursuing any others, and it didn't look as if there was
enough information on other contributors anyway. I may even have the
mail somewhere in an old archive. As I remember, Stefan was one of the
people who had tried previously. I believe someone else said they had
papers on file for it, but didn't according to the FSF records. Anyhow,
the code I originally contributed was already better than the then
python-mode.el, after I couldn't get that fixed. It also compared
favourably with the Eclipse mode and the Python IDE in Python, whose
name I forget.
