This remark is better read in conjunction with my "micro-init" suggestion. Instead of saying Emacs users, we start saying Novelists, Programmers, Gnus users, Students, Literate Programmers, Frame users, Old timers, Young ones, Retro theme users. Such a sub-categorisation allows for nuanced discussions and a richer perspective on how one may talk to others. Disposing my 0 cents worth of wisdom.
