However, I do not want any messages logged (as save-buffer does). I found this in the manual: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- You can write the contents of a buffer, or part of a buffer, directly to a file on disk using the =E2=80=98append-to-file=E2=80=99 and =E2=80=98wr= ite-region=E2=80=99 functions.
