(i take that as a personal statement, as one hacker's preference amongst the group, and a reasonable position to hold.) you can save yourself the rant and try to think of a way to accomodate email-based hacking w/ speedfreak hacking. as for the "kids" missing out -- let them spin. what they chase they will find in emacs, sooner or later. perhaps it will not be in /usr/bin/emacs, but instead some .../embedded-emacs-workalike.so; that's irrelevant. thi
