Let's leave this for after the release. Now Emacs 23 is already released. I filed a bug to track what was missing of this new feature: M-& to run commands asynchronously (async-shell-command) http://emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=4719 -- Daniel
