Message-ID: <87n0jn9udo.fsf@cecilia.trollope.org> (raw)

in html-helper-mode with syntax highlighting ...

when i type a command like C-c C-p b to "bold" text, the opening tag
appears on the page and a prompt should appear in the minibuffer, for
which i type the text to be bolded. then, when i press RET, the text
and the closing "bold" tag are entered into the page.

the problem is, that as soon as i enter the command, the words
"Fontifying <buffername> ... (Attributes)" appear in the minibuffer
and obscure the prompt. the "Fontifying..." text remains in the
minibuffer indefinitely. of course, in this particular case, i
know the prompt is there because i mucked around with it. but, i
don't want to do that all the time.

frankly, i don't need the messaging -- is there any way to turn it
off? or is there any way to delimit its duration to 5-10 seconds?

mp
