vc-diff and tramp

vc-diff and tramp

Hello!

I am trying to use vc-diff command over files which I am accessing over
tramp, but all I get is error message in other window stating

/bin/sh: vcdiff: not found

I also get this in the minibuffer:
Running vcdiff -q   -c SCCS/s.test.c...FAILED (status 127)

Is there a way to get vc-diff to work over tramp (ssh)?

Which Emacs version / Tramp version are you running?

I am using Emacs snapshot from http://emacs.orebokech.com/ which is
23.0.60. Tramp version is 2.1.14. Vc-diff works ok when using it with
local files.

I couldn't reproduce the problem in case of CVS; vc-diff runs fine on
remote files. Which backend do you use?

Thanks for your input. I tried with CVS and it worked fine. I am working
working with bitkeeper, so the problem seems to be there. I'll try to
figure out if I can get it working.

Check for `call-process' and `start-process'. These functions do not
support remote files; `process-file' and `start-file-process' must be
used instead.
