Documentation of `define-key's DEF arg does not provide description of
the `remap'
feature e.g. how one can accomplish:
(define-key '<SOME-MAP> [remap <SOME-COMMAND>] '<SOME-OTHER-COMMAND>)
Likewise, the docs should present an explicit link to the manual describing the
`remap' feature e.g.:
(See info node `(elisp)Remapping Commands'.)

Sorry for that, <SOME-MAP> should not be quoted!
(define-key <SOME-MAP> [remap <SOME-COMMAND>] '<SOME-OTHER-COMMAND>)

I've tweaked the documentation to reflect this, thanks. (I think you
are confused, though; key remapping occurs in the KEY argument.)

Yes, of course. You are correct DEF is def. not the relevant arg. ;)
Was juggling three concurrent/related bug reports.
I apologize for my mis-statement.
