Self-explanatory title: is there a function to search the Emacs Lisp Intro
within Emacs?

C-h i
Choose that manual.
C-s, as for any other Info manual.
If repeating C-s does not search across sections of the manual, then you have an
older Emacs version, so use `s', not `C-s'.
But it is usually better to find topics using `i' (index access) than by
searching.
Try also reading the manual about Info itself. It explains all of this and much
more.

C-s = I-search
s = regexp search
Emacs version: 24.2.50.1
Is all in order?

s always works, in all versions
C-s in older versions does not search more than one node at at time.
