autogen.sh fails

Hi,

I wanted to switch from master to emacs-25.  I checked out the emacs-25
branch, I don't have any changes in the worktree.  Now

The Emacs build-tree doesn't react well to switching in-place with
existing build products between two revisions that are far apart.
You should either make maintainer-clean before you switch, or git clean
after you switch, or use a separate directory for each branch (eg git
new-workdir).

Ah, ok, I thought this is what "make distclean" is for.  So many ways to
clean...

"git clean -xf" did it.
