Use M-x occur and go to the *Occur* buffer. Now use the mouse to draw
out a region, say the middle part of a line. If you have
transient-mark-mode on you will have big trouble seeing what is going
on as the yellow "chose this line" of Occur is battling with the blue
of transient-mark-mode as to whose region is whose... (It's not a
color problem, it is a wobbling region vs. region battle flickering on
the screen as one moves the mouse.)

I bet the problem also occurs in other buffers where one is supposed
to click a line to jump there, like M-x grep, M-x compile buffers.
