You can use what is on the gnus manual: (setq gnus-select-method '(nnimap "imap.gmail.com")) (setq smtpmail-default-smtp-server "smtp.gmail.com") and in ~/.authinfo: machine imap.gmail.com login password port imap machine smtp.gmail.com login password port 587 That should be enough to get and send mail. -- Jorge.
