Subject: just tell me the dired copy file error without me having to hit "?"
Date: 08 Jul 2002 10:30:56 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87k7o7q7bz.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
You know in dired when you see
Copy [-p] failed for 1 of 1 file--type ? for details ((bla.h))
How about instead just telling us what happened? By the way, the
buffer it shows has all errors from this session, not just 'this
error' -- user could be looking at an earlier response...
I did C-h k C and didn't see any switches to 'don't insist I hit "?"
just to see what happened wrong' (odd, no where else on the system do
I have to hit "?" first.)
