Not this year. This year GSoC is ongoing.
Here is the timeline:

I presume that next year should be similar. So, expect ~ end of March
next year.

For mentors, the timeline will be May-September (with May dedicated to
getting to know each other, not actual work). In other words, summer.

I'm afraid that "Emacs as word processor" is a bit too much for
_students_ within 3 months timeline. Many other todo entries should be
suitable though.
