SXEmacs takes it a step further: it provides a generic foreign function interface. So if there's a danger, you should be able to quote us the products we can buy at Circuit City or download from www.DownWithFreedom.com. The amount of damage done by NVIDIA's drivers for the Linux kernel is substantial -- but the damage to users is matched one-for-one by damage to NVIDIA's reputation, and the damage to freedom is nil, as we see people easily switching from NVIDIA products to ATI for the sake of good/free drivers. $250 for a new state-of-the-art video card? That's not damage, friends, that's *tuition*. Where's the beef, for heaven's sake?
