Bug in count-lines-page?

Hi List, 

I just used C-x l (count-lines-page) on xterm.c and term.c from the
Emacs24 sources with surprising results: 

C-x l on
term.c buffer: 
512 lines (but last line in buffer is 3670)
xterm.x buffer: 
326 lines (but last line in buffer is 10929)

Is that a bug?

C-x l counts line in *pages*

Try C-x [ to go to the next page from the beginning of the buffer.

Ah, I see, the name of the function should have told me... 

Marking the whole buffer and then 'M-x count-lines-region' gives the
correct result.
