See: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnu-emacs-sources/2007-02/msg00006.html for "fsm", a nice way to abstract these async bits. I once set up a half-dozen fsm-based visual geegaws and it was a very smooth albeit trippy-kitch experience, but hey, [insert Kundera treatise on life accidents and kitch, here :-D]. YMMV, etc. I lack bandwidth, but if someone else wants to polish up fsm for GNU ELPA, i would be happy to mentor (somewhat haphazardly). =2D-=20 Thien-Thi Nguyen GPG key: 4C807502 (if you're human and you know it) read my lisp: (responsep (questions 'technical) (not (via 'mailing-list))) =3D> nil --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAlT5qq8ACgkQZwMiJEyAdQLSqgCfdH8Mhdw42cPkCu90CiBOVja+ wJEAoJODw6PM5vf8YQ2el74ZCY1MlIVU =Sq2I -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
