Hi
is there a way to make a directory and move files to it using dired
mode? I have been trying for no avail.

+ and R, maybe in conjunction with m. Have you tried 'M-x describe-
mode' ? This magical incantation works very often, mostly faster than
eMail. And it motivates its user to read the output, at least a bit:
the major mode and its keybindings come first! That's the stuff
clever software is made of.
