If I understand correctly, the problem is this: (progn (setq pop-up-frames 'graphic-only) (setq calendar-setup 'two-frames) (calendar)) This will pop up three new frames, and one of them is empty. I've now fixed this in Emacs 28 -- but only for the non-nil calendar-setup case.
