It's very elusive Um, I hadn't done much more than started GNU Emacs 24.0.50.3 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.18.3) of 2010-03-30 on g41r2f1 and Gnus, went to Firefox and when I was done with a mail noticed Emacs was ... gone! I've been screwing around on the MS Windows partition and so haven't used Emacs in GNU/Linux much lately.
