Not with another application, but with the user in front of the monitor. If this counts, every package using `message' would belong to the category "communications". And just because it uses D-Bus ... battery.el reads /proc/acpi/battery or /sys/class/power_supply in order to get the information; it does not belong to "communications". If it would use the D-Bus interface org.freedesktop.UPowerDevice instead, would this classify it for "communications"? Best regards, Michael.
