* Emacs VC: how can I return to the main trunk?

The C-x v r (vc-retrieve-snapshot) command brings me to a TAGed
branch, but how can I return to the main trunk? Do I have to use the
shell commond "cvs update -dA"? Can I do that within Emacs?
