Hi All,
I have (setq tramp-default-method "ssh") in init.el but still xemacs
is loading with ftp. Am I missing something?
I'm using
XEmacs 21.4 (patch 21) "Educational Television" [Lucid] (i486-linux-
gnu, Mule)

It should work. Maybe you could try customizing it instead?
M-x customize-variable RET tramp-default-method RET

With XEmacs, there is another Tramp file name syntax. Please RTFM.

Hi Ian
Thanks for your reply. when I did M-x customize-variable RET
I got customize-variable: (default nil)
Then typed tramp-default and hit tab but nothing is coming out.
Am I mising anything?
