Oops, yes. I haven't seen it during test (I don't use ido), sorry. The
following patch fixes this for me:

I've committed it to the (bzr) repository. After applying `make' you
must also apply `make autoloads' in the lisp directory, because
tramp-loaddefs.el must be regenerated.
