(fringe-bitmap-p 'left-arrow)
=> (get left-arrow 'fringe)

The following patch fixes the return value.

In GNU Emacs 25.0.50.13 (x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.14.5)
 of 2014-12-07 on arirop
