BTW, as a guidance: an el-search for the symbol pcase in my complete
load-path (and with the .8 setting) currently behaves like this:
Elapsed time: 52.331413s (7.141519s in 20 GCs)
Conses: 4.32514e+07
Floats: 152079
Vector-Cells: 2.735e+08
Symbols: 163489
String-Chars: 8.00088e+07
Intervals: 28094
Strings: 2.7693e+06
(the last values are the printed vector difference of the return value
of `memory-use-counts' from before and after command invocation).
Michael.
