Do you mean the startup message?

Add the following to your .emacs file:

(setq inhibit-startup-message t)

See if there is a line

(help-with-tutorial)

in your .emacs file
(or possibly in some other init file).
If so, put some semi-colons in front of it.

Anyway it shouldn't load by default otherwise.

It does not do that by itself.

If it does, the it's because you have instructions to this effect either
in your ~/.emacs, or in one of files loaded when booted.

Try: emacs -q
to boot without loading your ~/.emacs

or: emacs -Q
to boot without loading anything else.
