In the help of ibuffer:

> (ibuffer &optional OTHER-WINDOW-P NAME QUALIFIERS
> NOSELECT SHRINK FILTER-GROUPS FORMATS)
> ...
> SHRINK means shrink the buffer to minimal size.

It would seem this would do it:

(ibuffer nil "*ibuffer*" nil nil nil)

But that must be something else because it changes size
more often than not.

This is something I don't like in general so if it
could be prohibited somehow I would like it, and then I
could setup exceptions. If I create two windows, with
things that matter in both, then from one, I would like
to do something else, so it brings in that new thing
all over both windows. For example, (gnus-post-news
'post "") does it too. Anyone else thought of this?
Very annoying to have to look in menu buffers and the
like for something you brought forward and then did
nothing to put away!

Other than that, ibuffer seems great though. It would
be cool if the buffer menu could be colored based on
extension because then I could set it up to match the
values of dircolors in the shell! I don't know if
ibuffer can do that at this stage though, just found it
on EmacsWiki...
