Emacs 26.1 release soon? :-)

Unless I'm misremembering, the Emacs 26 branch has almost three years of
fresh and exciting development in it by now (*counts years on fingers
because he can't convince git to couch up the data*), so isn't it about
time to start thinking about pushing Emacs 26.1 out the door?

That's not when post-Emacs-25 development started -- that was when it
was decided that the next version should be called 26.1.  Development
started soon after the emacs-25 branch was created...
