The code as such is there; the "can't stat" message is still there in 
<http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/emacs/emacs/lib-src/emacsclient.c>
but I can't quickly figure out under what conditions errno will be 0,
resulting in the "Success" from strerror().
