Any "expert" has learnt the hard way long ago to never ever use "git push" without explicit arguments. It's a setting that manages at the same time to be spectacularly useless for almost anything while being really dangerous at the same time. Of course, that made it a prime contender for the default setting of Git, the version control system for real programmers. It's almost a miracle it has been changed for 2.0. -- David Kastrup
