It would be nice to be able to go beyond that.  I am grateful if
adventurous users are willing to test the experimental code.  So it
would be nice if there was infrastructure that somehow allowed these
users to subscribe to the experimental code, similar to how the
development of core emacs benefits from users using the master branch.
