Subject: 23.0.60; wrong menu-bar fonts with lucid toolkit
Date: Sat, 01 Mar 2008 09:57:35 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <8763w6331c.fsf@pod.lab> (raw)

I have a script that happens to start Emacs like this:

emacs -xrm \
"Emacs*pane*menubar*font: -*-terminus-*-*-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" \
-xrm "Emacs*pane*menubar*foreground: gray40" \
-xrm "Emacs*pane*menubar*background: white" \
-xrm "Emacs*pane*menubar*buttonForeground: white" \
-xrm "Emacs*pane*menubar*shadowThickness: 1" \
-xrm "Emacs*pane*menubar*arrowSpacing: 40" \
-xrm "Emacs*menu*font: -*-terminus-*-*-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" \
-xrm "Emacs*menu*foreground: gray40" \
-xrm "Emacs*menu*background: white" \
-xrm "Emacs*menu*buttonForeground: white" \
-xrm "Emacs*menu*shadowThickness: 1" \
-xrm "Emacs*dialog*font: -*-terminus-*-*-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" \
-xrm "Emacs*dialog*foreground: gray40" \
-xrm "Emacs*dialog*background: white"

That font spec string is identical to the one that sets my frame font,
and I made no changes to my script; but now on the menu-bar it is no
longer respected. I get abnormally large text in a different font instead:

I'm not sure when it broke, because I stopped using the menu bars for a
little while, and only recently turned them back on.
