I'm running emacs-snapshot under Debian, and it's segfaulting from time
to time. 

What should I do to get more info on why this is happening?

Configure your session to keep core files (ulimit -c unlimited) and
once you have a core file, install emacs-snapshot-dbg and use gdb to
generate a backtrace.
