Hello
I use vc-update-change-log often and find the empty log
entries annoying so I delete them using
(delete-matching-lines "empty log message")
I suggest to implement such a feature in add-log.el

Sounds good. If you send it to bug-gnu-emacs instead, it'll get
a bug-number.
