When I commented out: (setq load-path (cons (expand-file-name "~/.emacs.d/src/gnus/lisp") load-path)) (require 'gnus-load) the warning about package assoc being obsolete disappeared, and eww now works fine! The code in that directory was cloned from git a couple of weeks ago. I can't tell what version it is, because the ChangeLog does not seem to be current. Is there anything else I can do to help track down this behaviour? Cheers, John
