Its value is 127 =20=20 You can customize this variable. =20=20 =20=20 This variable was introduced, or its default value was changed, in version 26.1 of Emacs. Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 26.1. =20=20 Documentation: The largest integer that will be displayed as a character. This affects printing by =E2=80=98eval-expression=E2=80=99 (via =E2=80=98eval-expression-print-format=E2=80=99). Steve Berman
