When emacs is started with emacs --daemon=foo (or
emacsclinet -a "" -s foo [...]) one does not use
`server-start'.

Have

(when (equal server-name "foo") (message "My name is foo!"))

in .emacs and start emacs with   emacs --daemon=foo
