It really is not nice. You are right, absolutely, but then I cannot see why people can't push for a SBCL rewrite of Emacs? I personally am not in favor of that idea anymore since speed was the main issue and with native-compile that is solved to a huge degree and is expected to be even better. But what is wrong pushing for it, if some people feel that way? It is on topic (Emacs development) and no one is forcing anyone to read or take part in such discussions if they don't like to.
