Subject: Feature request: share search ring amongst emacses
Date: 19 Jun 2002 01:09:56 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <874rg0h5sr.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
Feature request: share search ring amongst emacses. I run one emacs
as me, the other as root (with red background turned to remind me of
my "batcommand" powers).
Anyway, often I search for something in emacs A and then remember that
I should have been searching in emacs B, and then I gots to type in
the search string all over again or do ... C-s M-y or something more that
just the C-s C-s that I want to.
Anyway: two emacses, different UID's, same $DISPLAY. Maybe also make
it work for two emacs -nw's.
