the buffer could be asked about...("delete buffer also?",
or "there are buffers visiting that file, what about it Holmes?")
even if it is modified too.
("what about the modified buffer? Send it to mom?")

Emacs 21.4 will have this feature, since it's already present in the
current CVS version. The exact message is "Kill buffer of foo.el, too?
(y or n)"...
