Subject: Use tls.el instead of ssl.el for HTTPS?
Date: Sun, 15 Oct 2006 11:23:53 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <874pu6c4pi.fsf@freemail.hu> (raw)
The HTTPS code in url-http.el currently looks like this:
(let ((url-gateway-method (condition-case ()
(require 'ssl)
(error 'tls))))
...
)
That is, it uses ssl.el if it is available, and otherwise uses tls.el
(which is the only one included with Emacs). Is there any reason to
not always use tls.el?
Magnus
